Privacy Policy

Last updated: 21 May 2026

OptimisedWebsite ("we", "us") is a UK-based web development service. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR).

What we collect

We collect personal data only when you voluntarily submit it through our order form or contact form. This typically includes your name, email address, business name, website URL, and project details.

How we use it

We use the information you provide solely to respond to your enquiry, prepare a quote, or deliver the service you have ordered. We do not use your data for marketing unless you explicitly opt in.

Third parties

  • Cloudflare Pages: hosts this website. Cloudflare may process minimal connection data (IP address, request headers) as part of its CDN and security services. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics 4: this website uses Google Analytics 4 to measure traffic and page performance, but only after you accept analytics cookies (see below). GA4 can set cookies and processes data such as your IP address, device type, and pages visited. See Google's privacy policy for how this data is handled.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any other third party.

Cookies

No analytics cookies are set until you actively accept them. On your first visit we ask you to accept or reject Google Analytics 4; nothing analytics-related loads before that choice, and rejecting it never affects site function. Your decision is stored in your browser's localStorage under a versioned key, not in a cookie, so it is never transmitted to our servers. Once you accept, GA4 may set cookies (_ga, _ga_*, _gid) to distinguish visitors and sessions.

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the link in the footer. Withdrawing consent stops any future analytics measurement and clears known GA4 cookies for this domain immediately; a script already fetched by your browser before withdrawal cannot be unloaded, but it stops sending data. A separate theme preference (light/dark) is also stored in localStorage and is unrelated to analytics consent.

Your rights

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Object to or restrict processing
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO)
